Chapter 5

The Sterish - a people from the western lands found between the Endle Mountains and the Boe Sea. Known most for their farmlands and dairy.

Dwelvlings - short, stout creatures indigenous to Endleland. Since the arrival of Welklings, these creatures have been driven into the hills, mountains and Deepdark.
Fay - most numerous of the indigenous peoples of Endleland, the fay are feared by welklings for their inherent mystical qualities. Notably, their eyes glow blue in the dark, and it is said that is how they are able to see at night.
Giants - humanoid creatures of great size, some standing as tall as a tree. Giants come in various types such as Fire Giants, Stone Giants, Hill Giants and more.
Welklings - what humans are called by the other creatures of Endleland and the name they adopted for themselves.

Balrode - woodland village north or Fael best known for its timber.
Deup Graes - Deep Grass, the wild regions north of the Budam Laes (Bottomless River).
Fael - coastal city in the lands of the Sterish, its sigil is the head of the ferocious cassowary.
Isilhusen - northern hill village known for its iron mines.
Larynn - the great mountain city and seat of power for the Maekodon Poli (Myrmidon League) in the south.
Leyden - a city in the realm of Ulyst beyond the wild regions. It is known for its wine and pirates.
Neeklow - a rival city in the hills to the east.
Nurvhusen - a village along the coastal hills known for its fisherman.
Ulyst - a realm north or the wild lands.
Veerkstad - mining village in the hills, family home for Princis Kathe of Fael.
Wogen - village in the eastern hills near to Neeklow.

Aechtung - River Keep, the great keep in Fael.
Duxhalle - Small Room, the private council room for the Dux and his meisteurs.
Fues tor - River Doors, the southerly gates from the Waes Langhaus.
Ful Haus - Hall of Tomes, the library in the Aechtung.
Mura Ada - River Wall, the great foundation the Aechtung is built atop.
Mura Mari - Sea Wall, the wall of the Aechtung that faces the sea.
Waes Langhaus - Great White Hall, the great hall within the keep Aechtung.
Westra Fael - West Fael, the wealthy district in the city of Fael.

Ada Nein - Ending River, the river that flows through the city of Fael.
Budam Laes - Bottomless River, a great broad river that divides Fael from the Deup Graes.
Endleland - the northern continent.
Uest Veld - The Lost Wood, a great, dark forest along the western slopes of the Endle Mountains. A single road slips north and south through the wood.
Ulth - what the peoples of Endleland call their world, similar in usage as the word earth.

Noel - the festival at the winter solstice. The Stersh celebrate this as a five day festival, the most common way to celebrate Noel throughout Endleland.
Weide - The Hunt, a 30-day period after Noel celebrated in Sterich where no wars are to be fought and the Braets

Thenal - the Gods’s Eye, the largest and brightest moon, when in full moon it is said the gods are watchful.
Sanavaal - the Needle, the most regular of the moons, it is said it changes phase as the Weaver weaves her fates.
Tuelal - the Dark One, when in new moon shadows creep and dangers loom.
